  I recently had my daughter's 7th birthday party at Cherry Hill Skating Center. Upon arrival, the staff went out of their way to be welcoming, accommodating and helpful. The ladies that were assigned to our party were a pleasure to work with and my daughter and her friends had a wonderful time. Unfortunately , I left utterly disgusted and will never return. Hopefully you won't either. The parents of one of the children attending our party experienced something no one should ever have to experience. The mother is white and the father is African-American. When the mother went up to rent her skates the staff member was friendly. He gave her the skates without questioning her about a wrist band (which she did not have) or what party she was part of. IMMEDIATELY after she was given her skates, the father went up to rent his. He said 'Hello' and the staff member did not respond. When he finally acknowledged the father, he rudely asked where his wristband was. He said he did not have one but that he was part of our party. The staff member said he needs a wrist band and would not give him his skates until the mother (again...who did not not have a wrist band) confirmed he was part of the party. Talk about racially profiling. Cherry Hill Skating Center, the father of our guest deserves at the very least a genuine apology and you should be ashamed.
